OFFICIAL RULES
OVERVIEW: By participating in AEAR’s 2020 Rescue Raffle, purchasers agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of Animal Education & Rescue, NFP, a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization. These rules and decisions are binding and final as to all matters related to this Raffle.
The purchaser will be notified by a separate email of their unique ticket number for each ticket purchased. Entrants may purchase as many tickets as they wish, subject to availability. All sales are final, and no refunds will be given under any circumstance. The owner of a raffle ticket cannot transfer their ticket(s) to any other person. The purchaser of each ticket is the sole owner of the ticket.
Raffle ticket purchases are not donations and are not tax-deductible. Each Raffle winner assumes all responsibility and is subject to all applicable state, county, or Federal taxes, fees, or withholdings if individual winnings exceed $600.
PRIZES: A prize of $500 will be awarded to one ticket holder. No substitutes for the prize will be allowed. There will be a maximum of 100 Raffle tickets available.
HOW TO PURCHASE TICKETS: All raffle tickets will be sold online at www.aear.org for twenty dollars each.
ELIGIBILITY TO ENTER: All individuals must be at least 18 or older to be eligible to purchase Raffle tickets.
ODDS: Odds of winning depend on the total number of Raffle tickets purchased.
PROCEEDS: Proceeds from the Raffle ticket sales go to Animal Education and Rescue, NFP.
DRAWING: The winning ticket number will be drawn by hand, out of a raffle drum that contains every raffle ticket that has been purchased through www.aear.org. The draw will take place at a determined location. One winner will be chosen out of the pool of purchased tickets buyers.
NOTIFICATION OF WINNER(S): The winning ticket number and name of the Raffle ticket holder will be announced during an AEAR Facebook Live on Sunday, December 20, 2020. The winning Raffle Ticket number and winner’s first name and last initial with the city of residence will also be displayed on Animal Education & Rescue’s Facebook page immediately after the drawing. Animal Education & Rescue will personally notify the Raffle Winner via the email address provided by the purchaser at the time of purchase.
HOW TO CLAIM A PRIZE: The Raffle Winner does not need to be present during the drawing. Prize money will be mailed to the Raffle Winner purchaser in the form of a check within 14 days following the drawing. For security reasons, no cash payments will be made to the Raffle Winner.
EFFECTIVE DATE OF THE RULES: These Official Rules are effective as of November 12, 2020. Animal Education & Rescue, NFP reserves the right to modify these Official Rules at any time.
