Any donation amount will help!
Many of the animals that reach our doors are hungry, sick or injured, and in need of rehabilitation. We are committed to caring for each pet we bring into our foster homes. Of course, that costs money. As a small, non-profit organization, we struggle to pay for medical care, food and other supplies our animals need until they find their permanent home.
However you can help, you will be making our communities a better place for animals and animal lovers.

Beyond rescuing dogs and cats, we do so much more you may or may not be aware of:
- We take almost any kind of domestic pet into our care. This includes but is not limited to dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, hedgehogs, birds, rats, hamsters, mice, chinchillas, fish and more. We are the ONLY organization within the Chicago land area that does this. If we didn’t take in all these different types of animals, what would happen to them?
- Every single day we take calls from people near and far who need our help. We are a vital resource for people to reach out to when situations and emergencies arise. Whether it’s who to call about injured wildlife or problems with their own pets, such as housebreaking, aggression, the animal escaped, low cost vaccines and spays and neuters, we guide people. We spend literally dozens of hours a week on the phone and corresponding by e-mail.
- We consult with police, humane investigators and the general public about the laws that protect animals in the state of Illinois.
- We provide educational programs and materials to educate the public on humane care and treatment of animals. We provide this information in our various videos, social media and articles.
